Niki D Therapy
Parents and Carers
- Are you concerned about your child?
- Worried about their behaviour or well-being?
- Or feel they are not coping well with life?
Safe and confidential psychotherapy can be of great help if your child is experiencing difficulties. Talking to a qualified and experienced psychotherapist can provide the opportunity for a young person to think about the problems they are having, and consider ways they can bring about positive changes to make life easier.
Therapy can be a useful way for a teenager to develop emotional maturity, as they learn to put words to feelings, explore choices available to them and consider how their behaviour impacts on others around them. They can gain greater insight into themselves, others and the world, as they are encouraged to reflect more on their situation, feelings, behaviour and beliefs.
With a good relationship between therapist and client, the experience of therapy can also help a young person improve their communication skills, increase their self-esteem and confidence, develop their own unique ways of resolving problems and enable them to manage life’s difficulties with greater ease and skill.
I believe that if my son had not been able to open up and talk to Niki that he may well have not have made it. She helped him deal with his suicidal feelings in a way that as a mother I couldn’t."
